Microsoft reading your mind!

“Human beings are often poor reporters of their own actions,” Microsoft says.
The company is not happy with evaluating human response while they interact with computers since questioning them at the time is distracting and asking questions later may not produce reliable answers, so, they wants to read the data straight from your brain as you [...]

Turning Gaza into a Zoo

This item was filled under [ Gaza, Palestine ]

A zoo. This is one of the ways that Palestinians describe the conditions under which nearly 1.5 million of them have been living: in an area of some 360 square kilometers, closed in on three sides by sophisticated barbed-wire fences, concrete walls and military lookout towers, and to the west by Israeli navy ships that [...]

Arab in Worldwide Press Freedom Index 2007

It’s time of the year for Worldwide Press Freedom Index 2007. With all my reservations regarding Reporters Without Borders neutrality (having doubt after knowing that France is their financial supporter, although they are an NGO!), yet, their report was always a good indicator, if not the closest to reality - at least from my experiences [...]

No, not in Arabian Land, not in America. Not Guantanamo and NOT Abu Gharib for sure!

Needed in Gaza: Israeli journalists

This item was filled under [ Gaza, Israel, Media, Palestine ]

Gaza had become a closed territory, without any media coverage or documentation. Such is Israeli freedom of the press.
Anyone who expected such an intolerable reality to stir a protest was proven wrong. In any case, the readers do not want to read about it, the government and army do not want them to know and [...]

Clockwise or counterclockwise?

This item was filled under [ Science and Technology, Too Much Free Time ]

OK, it’s Eid holiday, so this is not politics-related, but it is a cool way to find out if you are a right-brain or left-brain dominant. Look at the dancer and decide which way she’s spinning.
Focus!
If you think she’s going clockwise, you’re apparently right-brain dominant (imaginative, philosophical, touchy-feely, impetuous); if you see her going counter-clockwise, [...]

18,000 Homes destroyed by Israel since 1967. These are figures for Palestinian homes. If approximately 120,000 Druze and Arabs were expelled from the Syria Golan Heights in 1967 and their villages (134 in number) were completely demolished, that makes about 20,000 additional demolished homes, assuming six people per family unit.
