    U.S. has a population of 300,000,000, in more than 20,000 cities and villages. Instead of the current pittance of several hundred thousands serving in our military now, another serious terrorist attack here could suddenly mobilize many millions of angered citizens.

    As far as I know only Muslim cultures continue to use a whip in punishment and backlash resulting from terrorist attacks is what our Muslim citizens fear. The real war is within Islam and elsewhere, not in the U.S. It is the task of American Muslims to restrain their own.
