In a stunning development on Nov 6th, 2007, a bipartisan majority of the House of Representatives refused to kill the privileged resolution to impeach US Vice President “Dick” Cheney brought by Dennis Kucinich.
Instead it was referred to the Judiciary committee. Nothing is more important to the future of the United States than impeachment of Cheney. Meanwhile, US news media, characteristically is ignoring this news.
House Democrats on Tuesday narrowly managed to avert a bruising debate on a proposal to impeach Dick Cheney after Republicans, in a surprise maneuver, voted in favor of taking up the measure.

In accordance with the U.S. Constitution, Bush and Cheney’s terms of office absolutely end at 12:00 noon on January 20, 2009. As Congressional and related committee inquiries are televised in the United States on CSPAN, calling for impeachment now is a political ploy related to ongoing politial party campaigns for the next Presidential election (November, 2008) more than anything else. Yawn.
