Racist Israeli PM Olmert subverts peace talks with Palestinians by insisting upon an Apartheid-style fundamental that the State of Israel is not a multiracial democracy but is “the state of the Jewish people”.
Aljazeera - Olmert’s office said he told Javier Solana, the EU’s chief diplomat, that Israel insisted “the foundation for the post-Annapolis negotiations with the Palestinians be recognition of the state of Israel as the state of the Jewish people”…Read on!
Comment: this sabotages sensible peace negotiations by applying a profoundly racist and bigoted Apartheid-style demand on the Indigenous inhabitants of the Holy land (1.5 million in Israeli Arabs, 4.0 million Occupied Palestinians, 7 million Palestinian refugees).
This is indeed akin to the bigoted and racist obscenities of Nazi Germany stating “Germany an Aryan state” or the variously actually or proto-Nazi Afrikaaner Nationalist Apartheiders insisting (with Israeli support) on White-only government and a White-dominated, race-based state.
There must be zero tolerance for racism, whether it is racism by Nazis, neo-Nazis, KKK, Apartheiders, Racist Zionists (RZs) , Racist Bush-ites or Israeli Apartheiders.

You have completely missed the point. Olmert was warning that an apartheid-style state could emerge if they do not commit to peace talks. He was not “insisting” on apartheid to “subvert” the talks.

I wanted to read and comment on this blog. But the front-loaded acrimony and the absence of any place for rational discussion by people who are involved in this issue daily makes that participation impossible. Gideon, when it gets to the point that you actually care about the fates of the Israeli and Palestinian citizens, and wich to find a solution where both can live in situations of rights and comfortable peace, please contact me. Otherwise what I hear is someone ranting and raving in a situation of self importance with no caring for those on the ground.
