Cancer patient dies after Israel entry refusal

A 21-year old cancer patient in Gaza who had been seeking vital medical treatment in Israel, has died.

Na'el al Kurdi is one of dozens of people being prevented by Israel from using the Beit Hanoun crossing for apparent security reasons.

Worse still, other patients may now be at risk, as medicines in Gaza run out and Israel remains defiant.

When my family (my wife and older son, Nooraldin - 9yrs) and I saw this news story on Al Jazeera (Ar) last night, none of us could hold his tears... can you?

This is the Israeli definition "respecting" BASIC human right... Collective punishment it is!

The real meaning of TERRORISM=Israel.

And this is what they call the beacon of human rights in the Middle East?? FOR SHAME!!

I think they call Israel a Liberal Democracy. I don’t think even the Zionists are crazy enough to call it a beacon of human rights.

A mother also died last week , leaving 7 orphans behind her because she was not allowed to Enter egypt for treatment . Israel turned Gaza into a prison and the world keeps quiet, responsible in these tragedies including the Guttless Eunuchs in the Arab world

“I don’t think even the Zionists are crazy enough to call it a beacon of human rights.”

Beacon of democracy, human rights, equality, justice, ..
I’ve seen fanatics from different corners of the net say all that about this state with its rogue government.

I saw that on AL Jazeera too and i could not hold the tears of frustations , seeing his mother crying , and seeing him utter his last words . He could have lived , he was only 21 but the So called ONLY democracy in the Middle East did not have an ounce of compassion to allow these people to seek treatments elsewhere, while the Medications have been denied to the palestinians from Europeans and Arabs (so called Brothers )

The Israeli army likes to think itself of the “world’s most moral army”!!Oh my God!!If this is what they call morality, then they need to seek Psychiatric help as soon as possible.Israel has proven itself to be an abuser of human rights, humanity and compassion. It stands for hupocrisy and double standards. No wonder the world hates them.It is a real shame and tragedy for the innocent and suffering people of Palestine.May God richly bless you Palestine and bring an end to your suffering soon.Inshallah.

And the Jews are from a religion of peace.
Sorry, Zionists.
People are dying in the name of security.
It is happening on the US-Canada border.
This is not about security or religion, this is about POLITICS.
What makes a politician look good for his followers. Damn everyone else.
Bush and Olmert are just posturing to maintain their powers in front of their parties.
People are more important than politics.
Politicians don’t care. Power is more important.
People are losing their identities when politics and corporations have have control of this world.
Money that could help the needy are going into corporate banks.
The people at the top only want to top up their profits.

One of the main problems is that many people don’t realize why Palestinians are are even seeking medical treatment in Israel. If you read the comments on Ha’aretz or other online publications, people ask “Why don’t they go to Egypt?” as if it were up to them!

Some Palestinians were indeed receiving treatment in Egypt but since June, the border have been completely sealed. Even before June, the Rafah terminal was only open less than 50% of the time. Additionally, the closure has prevented essential medicines from reaching Gazan hospitals which now operate without 140 World Health Organization mandatory medicines. Doctors are forced to use adult sized syringes for children, simply because there are no more supplies! The situation is shameful!

The Shame is on Abbas for smiling and hugging Olmert weekly and not asking him to do something about the Closures of so many gates and allowing the sanctions . (he is actually enjoying punishing the Gazans for supporting Hamas ) i also blame the Arab Leaders for not doing ANYTHING so far but meeting Olmert in Sharm Al sheikh (Mubarak) and smiling and hugging him like an old friend , and withholding any financial help to the Palestinians . Shame on Your so called Arabs who think you are Muslims . A Muslim can be a true Muslim if he helps One LIFe (as if he helped ALL humanity says the Quran ) instead of crying crocodile Tears at the Haramein every Friday . Shame on the Fatsos in the Khaleej for wasting Billions on arms they are not going to use (to help the US economy) and luxuries they want to show off : LOsers !! Morons !!!! shame on the Leaders in north Africa for looking the other way while the Palestinian starve . No conscience by Greed and more greed !!

Kimmy
I like your posts too , thank you for your kind comments . that s how i feel about our so called leaders . im ashamed to be an Arab because of them. i love being an arab, i love my race and my language but Arab has now become synonymous of Greed, carelessness, cowardice, and humilation . check the difference between hugo chavez how he reacted to the Qana Massacres (number 2) by kicking the israeli ambassador out , unlike our Leaders who looked the other way . No they were not embarrassed they dont know what embarassment is . MY egyptian teacher (of Arabic ) was exagerating when he was teaching us about the Known bravery and Generosity of Arabs , he wished ! Bunch of cowards and Losers that s all they are .
Ihave more respect for the Nepalese and Burmese who spoke out and came out and defied the police than our 300 million Arab sheep that do not want to move one finger . i m ready to go but will they join me :)
