Racism is no laughing matter, but for many people living in Israel and under the Israeli occupation, humour might help to ease the tensions.

Arab Labour is an award winning comedy series poking fun at the stigmas and stereotypes of everyday reality in Israel.

Al Jazeera's David Chater spoke to the show's writer regarding his personal take on the ongoing conflict.

Speaking of rise in Israeli racism towards Arabs, here is a report by Al-Jazeera:

We are not racist as long as you are not an Arab.
That was my gist of these comments.
The news I hear over here in the west is so different than the news I hear from the Palestinian side.
I listen to both sides and I go down the middle for the truth.
Sorry, but Israel and the US is lying.
Everything is about power and greed.
Most of all, It is about OIL.

The Israeli government spokesman claimed his government is not racist. Well I am going to mention only one aspect of Israeli racism, and that is the ethnic cleansing of 70% of the Palestinian nation from their homeland in 1948 in order to turn the non Jewish majority into minority and the Jewish minority into majority? And despite UN resolution 194 calling on Israel to allow the Palestinian refugees return home Israel refuse to do so just because they are not Jews, while it encourage and welcome any Jew from any nationality to immigrate to Israel and give them Israeli citizenship on arrival just because they are Jews, if this is not racism the word would loose its meaning. This is the highest level of racism. And if the Israeli government dose not want to be racist, then why not allow the Palestinian refugees return back home, and stop treating the non-Jewish Israelis as second class citizens? Then, and only then the Jews would live in peace. The Israelis should know that they can not deny the Palestinian people their rights from their homeland on racist ground and have peace.
