Join 'Readers of Sabbah's Blog' on FacebookMore than 100,000 individual people read Sabbah’s Blog each month. Why have I set up this Facebook Group? Well, I’ve always wanted my own fan club . . . JOKE!

Seriously, from time to time there will be events on the blog which I would like to notify my readers of. You won’t be bombarded - a couple of messages a month at the most. And feel free to use this as a forum to discuss what you would like to see more/less of on the blog and suggest ways I can improve it.

And most important of all, keep visiting the blog every day!

    Dear Haitham,

I read your post about prostitution. Unfortunately I read till the last word, hoping that you would eventually discard your statements in favour of prostitution after proving logically why neither misyar nor prostitution becoming official is an advisable solution. Apparently your site receives around 100,000 visitors a month. Very impressive, sad though that a person such as yourself -aware of his influential website- would settle so easily to state that prostitution should be legalised and regulated. I’m sure you are well aware that theres only one country in the entire western world where prostitution is regulated in the manner you’ve described, that being the Netherlands. Please do correct me if I’m out of date on my information on prostitution. Staying within the boundaries of my argument I must insist that you reflect with yourself just how flawed and limited your article really is. If you reread it from a neutral perspective you’ll appreciate that you have not given the aforementioned topic the amount of analysis it deserves. I will not bother explaining to you why I believe your advise is wrong because I am certain that either it will not convince you or that deep down inside you already are convinced. If the latter choice is correct then I’m afraid you have yet to discover more about the ever so complicated human condition. I would also have to assume that you are part of the new wave of arabs who are trying to bridge the gap between the western mentality and the arab mentality by painting a portrait portraying that “yes westerners, we are just like you! true we have alot of extremists but some of us are just so relaxed and moderate, and because we grew up watching your world through your media, we grew to understand your mentality and eventually infused it with our own”. If you think that that last statement made any sense or if that last statement was indeed a small part of the motive that spawned your article, then I would be very concerned about your level of exposure to the west. If you have been deeply exposed to the west at a mature age and yet still believe that that statement was sensible, then your intelligence is just simply dwarfed at birth, consequently making you a limited human being incapable of hosting such a site of such magnitude. In which case I would advise you to hone a legion of supporting writers and editors (yes your grammar IS extremely erroneous). Upon mentioning grammar I must also make a note that the tone of your article seems to lack professionalism and therefore discipline. Please feel free to negate my allegations with structured discourse as I’m fully aware that I have semi-postulated without reasons backing up the thoughts.

    Goodluck,
    regards,
    Bassem

Thank you for insight, Bassem. Would be great if you stick your words to the relevant post instead of putting it randomly.

    Prostitutes,
They are people like you and me.
They are trying to make a living.
    Prostitution is the oldest trade.
Both Christianity and the Muslim world hate prostitutes.
    Why?
    Because they question your religion.
    What is more important.
    Good sex or good religion?
    What about both?
From what I gathered is that sex is more important than the truth and men have to understand that women have final control.
