Because millions of ignorants are going to vote - again - for the next ignorant US president.
Who else to blame but the media?!

It is not only the fault of the Foxnewsiness media. It begins with the schools. When I was a child growing up in different states, I got a good education at each school. Since then the xian right with the Republican Party has been dumbing down the schools for years.
Now I talk to recent college graduates and they frequently interrupt me to ask me to explain some historical or geographical reference I use. I also get interrupted to explain certain vocabulary that I use, and I don’t mean highly technical or rare words.

It’s sad and humiliating to admit, but these people accurately represent the majority of my country’s knowledge of international conflict/relations and historical events. NO WONDER I feel so alone sometimes….

Nicholas,
Don’t feel bad.
Just remember that the most intelligent person you can talk to is yourself.
So if you talk to yourself, you are intelligent.
Bush has trouble speaking!
Compare yourself!

Ha…no worries Kimmy, I don’t actually feel alone. Rather, I feel contempt for the majority of the population of my own country, its leaders, and their neglectful views and approach towards the world and the conflict that they helped to create. The most helpful thing to remember - for myself and others - is that civilizations rise and fall, and that this (America) too shall pass (through reform or destruction) . Though, thanks for the laugh.
