Shin Bet boasts of 1,000 assassinations, included 150 children

Including 5 year old children… The West close their eyes to this Israeli method of “justice”… No one asks why, if Israel knows where these people are, it cannot ARREST them and put them on trial?? The West accept assassination by Israel as a democratic method, and of course, take its word when it calls the dead “terrorists”, apparently even if they are 5 and 8 year old children, and certainly if they are “civilians”. And if they are elected politicians, all the better… even Palestinians can’t vote for a dead man! WHITE colonialism rules…

Why do they attack us?

B’Tselem: Does Diskin view kids as terrorists?

Shin Bet chief says 1,000 terrorists killed in Gaza Strip in past two years. Human rights organization says 816 Palestinians killed in that period, including children

The human rights organizations in Israel and the Gaza Strip were angered by data presented Sunday by Shin Bet chief Yuval Diskin during Sunday’s cabinet meeting, according to which Israel had killed 1,000 terrorists in the past two years.

The B’Tselem organization expressed its surprise over Diskin’s remarks, saying that according to its figures, 816 Palestinians were killed by the IDF in that same period, including 150 minors, 48 of them under the age of 14.

Security sources later corrected Diskin’s remarks, saying that 810 terrorists were identified among the casualties, which included civilians.

“Does Yuval Diskin include five-year-old Maria Okal, eight-year-old Aya
al-Astal, nine-year-old Yehi Abu Slamia and his five-year-old brother Nasrallah among the list of terrorist?” organization officials asked. “Does the Shin Bet chief refer to the blood of these and other children as the blood of terrorists?”

The Palestinian organizations also refer to 1,000 people killed in two years, but according to them, most of the casualties were civilians. According to Samir Zakkut of the al-Mezan Center for Human Rights in the Gaza Strip, the data presented by Diskin were untrue.

These data, he said, were aimed at serving as excuses “in order to justify the crimes and the killing of civilians.

“All the figures point to the fact that the vast majority of the killed were not armed, but since we are in the 21st century, when no one in the worlds takes the killing of minors and innocent people for granted, the Israeli side needs excuses and lies, even in incidents in which gunmen are killed and innocent civilians are hurt,” Zakkut added.

“Why are these people absent from Diskin’s data? The Ghalia family from Jabalya, the Atmana family from Beit Hanoun, and the Ghaban family are only a few examples, and therefore it is very easy to contradict Diskin’s claims.”

According to Zakkut, Diskin’s remarks raised the concern that these data were aimed at justifying a future attack, “while we are all waiting for the IDF’s talked-about wide-scale operation in Gaza, which will lead to a high number of civilian casualties.”

‘Resistance improving’

Meanwhile, Abu Mujahad, a spokesman for the Popular Resistance Committees, slammed the fact that Diskin took pride in the killing of people fighting for their land and rights.

“If Diskin believes that the Palestinian resistance would suffer from the number of casualties, he is wrong. There were not 1,000 gunmen killed, but even if there were - we promise that 4,000 more have already been recruited to carry on.

“The amount of casualties will not influence the Palestinian resistance. The assassinations are a recruiting factor, rather than a deterring one, and the proof is that the resistance is improving,” he said.

He who wins the war, writes the history.
The Israelis haven’t won the war, but they (and the US) are writing the history.
In the West we only hear of “militants” being killed.
We don’t hear of children and civilians being killed.
Could this be because of Israeli “smart bombs” supplied by the US.
    “Smart bombs” only kill “militants”.
Militants is a word used by the west to refer to Freedom Fighters.
We hear about Israel has a right to live in peace and without a terrorist threat.
What about an occupation of 60+ years filled with terrorism and the constant theft of land.
In WWII, my father fought the Nazi occupation and the persecutions of Jews in Denmark.
    He was a freedom fighter.
Now he hates the Jewish occupation of Palestein.
He says that the Jews are no better than the Nazis.
    I agree!

The Zionist are doing everything they can to drive the Palestinians out of their lands.
They are stealing lands in the name of Jews.
They are stealing the lands in the name of Zionism.
    fatima,
Do you think that Bush cares about the Palestinians?
He cares about the Jewish state.
Until we go back to the 1967 lines, the US won’t negotiate.
    Personal view.
    Palestein will be occupied.
Israel will kill people in their name.
    Children will be killed.
    They will be called Militants.
    Israel will be found innocent.
How can a country killing children in the name of security be found innocent?
Please, can anyone from Israel tell me if I am wrong!

    Thanks for the link Fatima.

I learned to lower my expectations from our leaders (I’d better say: not expect anything) so that I don’t get depressed. On the other hand, the protests that went out on the streets in most of the countries which Bush visited is a good sign that we still have people who knows that the corner stone in solving the Arab/Israel conflict is Palestine (including Iran/Arab/Israel/America conflict).

Last night, a family of 5 got killed in Gaza by Isareli rocktes, the day before another 8, and tomorrow God knows how much, and what we do as leaders is happily welcoming G W Bush to our houses and signing deals with him without having 1 decent Arab Official on TV questioning Isareli’s actions? Until when do we have to remain quiet, the least we can do is bitch about it on the Blogs and facebook!

No i dont think Bush (or anyone in his administration) care about the Palestinians , they wished they stopped to exist or stopped their demand for soveirgnty and freedom (like the natives and Aborigines did ) Bush pretends to care about Palestinians ,(so he goes down nicely in history books ) Yet he only Met the families of 3 israeli soldiers held in Captivity , did he show any concern about the families of 11000 (and growing) palestinian prisoners suffering in zionist jails ?

    fatima,
Remember that the 11000 were terrorists (Muslims) and they do not register in the (small) mind of Bush. Least of all, in the minds of the Zionists.
You talk about Aboriginals. I live less that 20 kilometers from 2 reservations. (I hate the word, reservation)
They have no problems with white people as long as you don’t call them Aboriginal, Indian, Native, etc.
You call them by their name.
If you call them anything else it will make them not feel part of the country.
I have heard many scary stories about “reservations”, and I have yet to see any of it.
I talk to them as fellow citizens using their names and sharing recipes and ideas for government reform.
    Sorry, I got carried away.

I dont think the Bush administration is doing anything to help the situation in Palestine and Israel, where thousands are being killed in the name of ‘War on Terrorism’ one might ask have we lost the real democracy that sets aside all values of human beings. Why do we listen so much utter nonsense on the news when its going to be ‘Militants blew up this, militants did this’ when will the world stop and listen and realise it’s the actions of Israel thats creating the ever running system of violence in this world. Like it or not but the truth prevails, and ones reputation may be at stake for voicing an opinion but he/she should stand up for what he/she believes and thats the freedom of speaking the truth.
We must do more to stop illegal occupation, the mass slaughtering of women and children and old men, disabled men, innocent lives being lost in this so called ‘War on Terrorism’
Lets fight for justice and bring the real perpetrators of the real democracy to justice and let the true law rule.

The British Empire did in the last recognize the Palestinians, and in their 1939 White Papers corrected the belief they wanted to make a State of Israel out of Palestine, planning instead on a coastal plain for the Israeli State, and the rest of Palestine to become it’s own State governed by the Palestinian Arabs (projected for around 1949).
Unfortunately the new United Nations at that time a consortium of five (5) Permanent Members, controlled all other by their (alone) Veto Powers along with threats and bribery, leading the remaining nations in a path to disaster. These five in their greed allowed a secular Zionist majority taking complete control of the Israeli government, and the rest has been a succession of this Zionist-gov driving out Palestinian and immigrating primarily secular Jewish people in their place. This appears to be changing as more and more Israeli become tired of the Iron-glove methods of the Zionist-gov.

    Kimmy,
It is heartening to know that your father realizes the mistakes Israel is making in the guise of being the Chosen Ones. I wish the people there realized it too. Especially since they survived a genocide.

I have only recently begun reading and learning how much the media has suppressed - knowingly (and probably unknowingly).
It is through books, documentaries (like Jenin Jenin) and blogs like this that allow the world (including me) to see what the Israeli govt. is up to.
Unfortunately, everything is controlled by the US, Europe and the Soviet (who basically plays no part).
I can only offer hope and encouragement and tell others about what is really going on…

israelis are running the bush administration. of course he doesn’t care. and if he did, there is always the anthrax.

the recently invented “US Department of Homeland Security” is run by a man whose mother is Israeli. it is astounding the US citizens are so incredibly slow on the uptake regarding the general treason being practiced under bushco.

2008 Israel is running the USA.
