CNN concern over “biggest prison break”

Written by Haitham Sabbah on 24. January 2008, 2255hrs // Part of Haitham Sabbah's adventure in Gaza, Media, Palestine, The Wall, Video // Other posts by Haitham Sabbah

No, it’s not the humanitarian situation in Gaza and the reasons behind the “prison break”, but CNN anchor is more interested in the structural integrity of the “prison wall”.

As usual, the American media is not concerned about the Palestinians as human beings, but the “arch demons” called Hamas and their responsibility for tearing down the wall.

There are no surprises here. US wants Egypt to seal the prison walls and block human beings - including children - from access to food, medical care and daily supply for life.

The Gazans crime is opening a hole in the wall to breath… but blocking all life supplies to Gaza by Israel, allies and US puppets is NOT a crime against humanity!!!

What next?

I watched the news and they were more concerned about how this would affect Israel.
There was nothing about starving Palestinians.
There was nothing about Palestinians dieing because of no fuel for their hospitals generators.

no one wants to look at it from a humanitarian side; no one thinks that these people are starving and dying… they just look at it from the ‘legal’ point of view, jurisdiction, and so on. no one wants to help out…

Hypocrits ! I no longer watch CNN !
I was expecting Ben widemen to show us some truth and visit the tiny babies in Incubators that stopped functioning , and kids gasping for air , without ventoline , and dialyis machines OFF , and raw sewage filling up the streets , i saw a guy on his bike biking into the sewage he had no way to come out of his home, and a cart with a donkey deep in it too , hundreds of people linning up to buy bread in the only bakery available . it was a shame for CNN to to wizz through and show a crumbling wall instead and not highlight the human suffering . If Gazans were Jews , the world right now would be crying , too many details and photos will be available . hypcrits .

The blockade of Gaza strongly reminds one of the Nazi construction of the Warsaw Ghetto. But Israelis maintain that they are somehow different.
