This is disappointing, they do this cartoon, then they publish his prayer. I have a lot of respect for Jewish people of course, they have struggled just like most Africans around the world. I just don’t understand their hesitancy towards Obama. I actually believe it has more to do with his name than his color…but its still disappointing.

A-Ron, By the sounds of it you are a 20 something or early thirty-something who feels he has good principles of accepting nearly anything and anybody for who they are as long as their beliefs don’t affect me. That type of indifference unfortunately has become quite the fad and is really at the heart of fear and holding no true moral ground. The vast majority of the world thinks there are principles worth dying and they feed on people like you who create an atmosphere of ambivalence that allows their rhetoric to fly. It’s time to take a stand for what you truly in your heart of hearts believe to be right and just. That is when life is worth living. It doesn’t mean you have to shove it down anyone’s throat; rather, it just means that you have boundaries.

wow there is so much hate speech on this page. i am blown away that people feel comfortable writing this stuff ‘in public’

someone said that Obama is ‘sucking up’ to anyone who will give him a vote. that’s one way to look at it. the other way to look at it is that he views ethnic minorities as subsets of a greater population in which common challenges are presented across racial, cultural, and ethnic lines.

people love to talk about the plight of x and the struggle of y. we live on a tiny planet! the vast majority of our problems are the same! food is expensive. water is scarce. energy is expensive. no one listens. and it’s ridiculously hot out.

alienating yourselves will not help you and it will actually hurt your children. get it together, people. not everyone is a bigot.
