i didn’t delve into my opinion as to what we should do (as Palestinian Americans) to influence policymakers … and perhaps I should have, but I really didn’t feel like going into it. But rest assured, I’m not as passive as you make it seem in your response ;)

With this kind of attitude (as expressed in Iman’s comment), then for sure policymakers will never feel any need to reconsider their policies regarding Palestine.

The way I see it, Palestinians, Arabs, and all those who support world peace and social justice, should vote for the Green Party. Yes yes, I know the claims about such a vote being a “wasted vote,” but there’s no such thing as a “wasted vote”… when the Democrats hear that 5 million people (for example) voted for the Green Party, they would realize that these are votes they could have had if they hadn’t shifted to the right.

U.S. foreign policy might never be to our liking, but that certainly doesn’t mean we should just give up on it and not let it affect our vote!!! And I can’t understand how any Palestinian could vote for someone (Obama) who is trying to be even more pro-Israeli than Bush! Is your conscience ok with that??
