While our Arab leaders battling each other where, when and how many summits to conduct, people from 75 Korean peace organizations gathered in the center of Seoul, South Korea to demand the stopping of the Israeli massacre of the people in Gaza and ending its siege of the Gaza.
Feel ashamed, Arab leaders!

My God! Arab countries didn’t even do this. Look at what the world is doing ARABS! The rest of the world loves us and cares about us Palestinians and you don’t CARE!
Yes Shame on the arab world, infact on the whole muslim world !!!
Our countries leaders have sold out our dignity and sovereignty to satisfy their own greed.
Injustices on the muslim population will only cease when the people of our countries come together to overthrow
our puppet regimes….but that would mean more lives lost. Right now many of us are living comfortable lives while other muslims are living destitude lives.
The muslim world needs a change, but I am afraid that we may suffer more till that change happens. Right now we have muslims living the “american dream” (buying designer clothes/cars…etc). Some muslims feel that praying, fasting etc..rituals are their only obligation to being Muslim. Many muslims are living in such backwardness that their sole concern is their dominance over their women….and sunnies and shias killing each other…and mullahs in conrol of our educaton system…. We need to bring moderation, common sense and selflessness to our community. That is a big task, because I don’t think the Islamic world ever achieved that (maybe in 9th-13th century)……I am hoping this tragedy in Gaza will start a movement amongst us. We need to get our children more educated, place ourselves and our brothers in influencial positions around the world. Otherwise our fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, daughters, and sons, suffering will continue and be in vain…
How can I find out about upcoming actions regarding Palestine in and around Seoul?
What a shame this that our own Arab governments do not stop these actions. I am not Palestinian I am from Indian/Pakistan. I have been watching the occupation of Palestinians since the first intifada. I am so saddened by what is happening. THis time though the actions of Saudi Arabia, and Egypt are deplorable. I blame the deaths of every Palestinian child on them. I hope they realize that they will face the consequences of their actions in the grave.
We Muslims cannot expect others to help us and change unless we change. We need unity and strenght and strong talented Muslims to say to the world enough is enough. I pray for you Palestinians and my tears and my heart aches for you.
Does anyone know of any organization that I can talk to about sponsporing a child to come here and get treatment?
I am from Seoul, South Korea and would like to thank Sabbah and whoever uploaded the video on Youtube for proving that we, Koreans, despite every barrier, are not blind to tribulations our Palestinian friends have been going through for more than half a century.
As for “Arab leaders battling each other” and taking no action to help the oppressed Palestinians, well, I would say it is the “people,” as opposed to the “leaders,” who actually represent their society. Just look at what our Korean “leaders” have done over the past few decades in Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq. It makes me shiver with guilt and disgust. Uncle Sam may have Egypt and Jordan, let alone Israel, to lick his arse in the Middle East, but who does he have in Asia, or more specifically East Asia? South Korea. And it’s our “leaders.” We don’t deem ourselves as their “followers,” though. The difference is huge.
Anyway, the video is of the fourth of six major protests staged in Seoul since and in response to Israel’s all-out attack on Gaza, and the largest by far. I have attended all of them, which do NOT include daily one-man demonstrations and small or unorganized gatherings.

Hi Jin, Annyeong haseyo.
I’m so glad to learn of protests and solidarity with Palesitnians in Korea.
I lived in Korea for two years around 2003-2005. Since then, i have become active in pal solidarity, volunteering with the ISM for 8 months in the occupied west bank in 2007 [www.opt2007.wordpress.com] and coming with the Free Gaza mvt in nov 2008 to Gaza [www.ingaza.wordpress.com] to bear witness and volunteer with ISM here. Was here during the war, with the Red Crescent in Jabaliya. Saw a lot.
I’m thinking of returning to Korea in the future and would love to know the Pal solidarity activists there. Plz email!
