A new campaign in US is demanding President Obama to deliver what he promised.
Ceasefirenow.org says that they are a group of people who voted for President Obama. Some of them traveled to swing states and knocked on doors, they had multiple house parties, they made thousands of calls. Now they are calling on President Obama to deliver on his promise for a 21st century foreign and domestic policy that they can be proud of, on that putting diplomacy first, starting with Gaza.
They are now collecting signature to send the following message:
President Obama,
You asked us to hope and we did.
You said we could make a change and we did.
You dared to say we would rebuild our alliances, meeting
with all nations, friend and foe, those who hate us and those we fear.
Do it now In Gaza!
Their goal is that by January 20th, 200,000 Cease Fire Now messages from all over the world will be emailed to President Obama. If he is the President he promised to be, he will listen to the will of the people. Peace and diplomacy will drive our foreign and domestic policy.
