…For peace to have a chance, Israel would have to withdraw from the West Bank, which would then become the Palestinian state.
It’s known as the "two-state" solution. But, while negotiations have been going on for 15 years, hundreds of thousands of Jewish settlers have moved in to occupy the West Bank. Palestinians say they can't have a state with Israeli settlers all over it, which the settlers say is precisely the idea.

Could you explain why it was thoughts that Israel would agree to the negotiations? Isn't it a disadvantage for them? Regarding the security checkpoints, how does Israel justify not allowing people, like this man, back into the cities they were born in? And is this well known…because if it is, then wouldn't one take precautions before leaving one's homeland?
Wonderful, though horrid, sharing – Didn't see it on 60 minutes…had all but given up on any mainstream tv, must keep an eye on the good stuff that somehow makes it through. I will thank 60 minutes and ask for more follow-up programs.
I will share on facebook and with all I know, though unfortunately, most are brain-washed through and through….we just must keep on, unrelentingly just as the Israeli government has persecuted Palestinians on their own land since 1948.
