Indeed, it would have been held to account in 1948, when it effectively deported more than 700,000 Palestinians and seized their land for themselves. Israel would have been forced then to repatriate all those people and to compensate in every way possible the families of the thousands of Palestinians they killed that year. Alas, we do not live in a just world! However, we do live in God's world. The evil ones in it plot and plan, and commit terrible crimes, but in the end they are all undone. It may take awhile, but it will happens. My own country, the United States, which almost certainly provided most of the weapons the Israelis used on the inhabitants of Gaza, and which probably regarded with interest how they worked in the Israeli combat "laboratory," has, for more than a century, marched around the world subjecting nations and peoples everywhere to its will, enslaving their economies to its own, and enabling its fat, dumbed-down populace to benefit from its victimization of others. For all that time, that American population repaid their government's largesse by remaining silent and uncritical about what was being done to other nations and peoples in their name. That made them - us - , partners in the crimes of our government, whether we admitted it or not. Now, it is all unravelling. America is being reduced to a Third-World country, with an impoverished, starving, dwindling population, homeless, destitute and without hope. The entire, vast edifice of what was once the American economy is crumbling to dust before our very eyes. America was a vast, hollow, house of cards, and the winds of history are blowing it away. Yet, as this collapse proceeds apace, the American military, like maddened dogs, seek more prey and greater wars. They will get what they wish, but they will wish they hadn't. They will get war with Iraq, but they will be soon be bogged down in yet another unwinnable war. Finally, American troops will run out of supplies, spare parts and ammunition, because there is no industry left in the United States to provide them, and no money to buy them. Our forces will be overwhelmed by the Chinese and Russians. Hundreds of thousands of soldiers will be taken prisoner and marched to prison camps, never to see America again. The American homeland will be attacked with nuclear weapons, decimated, and will erupt in revolution and civil war amid ruined, irradiated cities. Millions of Americans will die in prison camps by execution, disease and starvation. Israel's time will come, too. Israel's embrace of more and more aggressive, militarist policies will seal it's doom.
