The parcel bomb plot: Al-Qaeda’s gift to Israel

by Maidhc Ó Cathail November 14, 2010

Ever since an Israeli firm let the Christmas Day crotch bomber “slip through” security at Schiphol Airport without a passport, a few influential voices with close ties to Israel have been instrumental in making Yemen “the new buzzword”.

The US may be walking into a bit of a trap,” warns Gregory Johnsen, a Yemen expert and doctoral candidate at Princeton University’s Department of Near Eastern Studies. Israel must be very grateful indeed for this latest terror scare. If Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula did not exist, they might have to invent it.

American Democracy: Pro-Israel Tweedledum And Tweedledee

by Maidhc Ó Cathail November 3, 2010

Deeply concerned about the increasing use of support for Israel as a partisan issue in American domestic politics, Israel’s ambassador to the United States, Michael Oren, reminded everyone that “bipartisan support for Israel is a strategic national interest for the State of Israel.”

One rule that Pollak didn’t break, however, is the tacit agreement among both major parties to never expose how profoundly corrupt the political system really is.

Pentagon Author Exposes Zelikow’s Key Role in 9/11 Cover-Up

by Maidhc Ó Cathail October 19, 2010

In an interview on the Fox Business Network, a retired U.S. intelligence officer accused the official in charge of the 9/11 Commission of a cover-up of intelligence failures leading up to the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.
Appearing on the political talk show Freedom Watch, Lt. Col. Anthony Shaffer, a former Defense Intelligence Agency officer and the author of Operation Dark Heart, a much-hyped new book on the war in Afghanistan, spoke about his mid-October 2003 encounter with Dr. Philip Zelikow, then executive director of the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks upon the United States.

Al-Qaeda’s Suspect Humanitarianism

by Maidhc Ó Cathail October 6, 2010

If, as seems likely, the al-Qaeda messages concerning this summer’s floods in Pakistan are fakes, they would seem to provide further evidence of an Israeli-inspired campaign to destabilise the world’s only Islamic nuclear power. The question then becomes, what, if anything, Islamabad will do to counter such efforts before it too goes the way of Afghanistan and Iraq.

Bin Laden is Dead; Long Live “Bin Laden” – By Maidhc Ó Cathail

By Maidhc Ó Cathail* | Sabbah Report | www.sabbah.biz Who’s keeping the terror myth alive? In the trigger-happy post-9/11 world, the favoured way to instigate a war is to demand that the designated “evildoer” prove a negative. Iraq was invaded because it couldn’t prove that it didn’t have WMDs. Iran is under constant threat of [...]

By Maidhc Ó Cathail* | Sabbah Report | www.sabbah.biz It would be hard to think of anyone who has done more to undermine American freedoms than Joseph Lieberman. Since 9/11, the Independent senator from Connecticut has introduced a raft of legislation in the name of the “global war on terror” which has steadily eroded constitutional [...]

Framing Pakistan: How the pro-Israel media enables India’s surrogate warfare

By Maidhc Ó Cathail* | Sabbah Report | www.sabbah.biz In its bitter rivalry with India, Pakistan is at a fatal disadvantage. Unlike its South Asian neighbour, Islamabad lacks an ally with considerable influence over American mainstream media. The latest example of US media complicity with the Indo-Israeli alliance came in the aftermath of the much-hyped [...]

Anti-Semitism: Zionism’s Indispensable Alibi

by Maidhc Ó Cathail March 15, 2010

By Maidhc Ó Cathail* | Sabbah Report | www.sabbah.biz Although Zionism typically represents itself as the solution to anti-Semitism, the truth is less flattering. In fact, hostility toward Jews is indispensable to the cause of Jewish nationalism. If anti-Semitism didn’t exist, Zionists would have to invent it. And in many cases that is precisely what [...]
