Torture is official Israeli policy. It’s longstanding. Palestinian suffering explains best. Thousands every year are subjected to cruel and inhumane treatment. Their physical and emotional scars bear witness.
Accountability is long overdue. Arafat Jaradat is Israel’s latest victim. Israel tortured him to death. His body bore clear signs. Autopsy evidence proved it.
Why are most Jews unable and/or unwilling to acknowledge the wrong done to the Palestinians? Most Jews do not want to know about Zionism’s crimes. The question is – WHY don’t they want to know?
Falk, an American law professor serving in the independent post, suggested the United Nations Human Rights Council might set up an international forensic team to investigate Jaradat’s death.

To date, Israel’s leaders and Zionist supporters have shown an amazing capacity to ignore all criticism. The newly re-elected prime minister, Binyamin Netanyahu, has let it be known that he has no intention of watching The Gatekeepers. It is also questionable how many of those who voted for him, or other right-wing politicians, will bother to seek the documentary out.
Until and unless we eradicate injustice, we have no reason to know beauty, for all that we create is tainted by that injustice pretending all is well with our world. Truth does not exist if injustice surrounds us and we are silent in our complicity. Proclaiming moral virtue in a world awash in crimes against humanity is condoning the crimes unless we act to eradicate the crimes.
American progress is, has been, constructed on abuse and contempt for the sovereignty of other nations and their people and is thereby racist. American peace, American liberty, American freedom, and the ruthless pursuit of happiness for American citizens is the dream, but the manifest truth is, that American citizens are facing social meltdown and immizeration at home as their military and intelligence agencies kill abroad for profit. This America we hold to be self evident. “The idea of rights is nothing but the concept of virtue applied to the world of politics. By means of the idea of rights men have defined the nature of licence and of tyranny … no man can be great without virtue, nor any nation great without the respects for rights.” (Alexis de Tocqueville, Democracy in America [1835] 1991:219). This America must be your manifest duty to understand. How can you export American Democracy to a distrusting world when “you have no product?” (Cindy Sheehan).
Hundreds of Palestinian prisoners suffer needlessly. Many are disabled. Some are paralyzed. Prison authorities don’t help. Israel is a serial abuser. Palestinians suffer most. Murder by medical neglect is policy. Gulag prison hell enforces it. Justice is systematically denied.
Children are the future of all their respective nations. And Palestinian children are equally so. The children of Palestine have every right to become “arbiters of change” rather than be subjected to Israel’s military courts a situation which is permitted to go on and further exacerbated by the deafening silence of Western complicity, particularly Britain, Zionist shackled America, and the EU.
Washington Post editors ignore the worst of imperial crimes. They endorse Israeli occupation harshness. Jewish rights alone matter, they believe. Settlement construction is legitimate, they suggest. It’s no obstacle to peace, they claim. Further construction won’t prevent a two-state solution. They endorse Jewish supremacy and specialness. They’re comfortable with belligerence, persecution and land theft.
Israel leaders are signalling the need for Zionism to pre-empt any possible international pressure for withdrawal by going ahead with annexation without too much further delay. If necessary, a final ethnic cleansing by military means. This would see Zionism resorting to its tried and tested way of defying international law. Effectively Israel’s leaders say to the world: “We know we should not have done this, but we’ve done it. What are you going to do about it?” On the evidence of history to date Zionism knows the answer to that question, “Nothing.”

Though mainstream media has been silent, Israel has violated these simple truce points continuously since they were agreed upon. Not only are the crossings still very restricted, but the fire into Gaza continues, with the first one occurring only four days after the truce agreement.
Here we list some of Israel’s breaches of the ceasefire agreement.
Imprisoned or free, Palestinians have no rights. Racism is policy. So is institutionalized persecution and violence. Arabs are despised. Israel calls them sub-human.
Israel persecutes them for not being Jews. Praying to the wrong God is criminalized. Hunger strikers defy Israeli lawlessness. Abstinence is their only weapon.
Due to the ongoing illegal closure imposed by Israel, some of the required medical supplies and devices cannot enter the Gaza Strip, causing additional suffering to patients throughout their recovery process.
The misery and torment that befell Newton can be multiplied a thousand fold across the Arab world. American policy and actions have resulted in the deaths (i.e. murder) of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of innocent children. The deaths of these children can be considered as war crimes and a crime against humanity of the highest order. They should shock and outrage us, compelling us to demand an immediate change in American foreign policy.
Israel operated unaccountably for decades. How much more indiscriminate slaughter and mass destruction is tolerable. How many more years of Palestinian suffering will world leaders permit? How much longer can the ICC spurn its mandate? It’s time for all relevant stakeholders to step up to the plate and act responsibly.
Charges that the war crimes includes torture, enforced disappearances, assassinations, murders, kidnappings, extraordinary renditions, ‘shock and awe’ (bombings), and (the use of) depleted uranium, white phosphorus, cluster bombs, drone strikes, and the like.
In confiscating fishing boats, Israel denies Gaza fishermen the right to livelihood by removing their means to make a living. The right to not to be arbitrarily deprived of property is protected under Article 17 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Richard Falk, arose an urgent need to investigate Israel’s seemingly deliberate attacks against seemingly civilian targets during recent hostilities. It is clear that some attacks killed and harmed civilians in a grossly disproportionate manner and thus clearly appear to violate international law.
Leading footballers across the world condemn the Israeli assault on Gaza, express solidarity with the people of Gaza and condemn plans to hold U21 European championship in Israel.
We should not fool ourselves by believing that the conditions of the latest ceasefire between Hamas and the IDF are being honoured by the IDF (excuse the word ‘honoured’ here).
Al-Bahtetee family is now clearing out the debris and trying desperately to find the money they need to repair their home and workshop. Fourth Geneva Convention says that such extensive destruction of property protected by the convention which cannot be justified by military necessity is a grave breach of International Humanitarian Law.
Did the KGB – who killed off one of their own ex-agents in just such a way – supply the stuff to Palestinians who hated Yasser Arafat, or to Israelis? Would the Israelis, who of course deny any involvement, try to liquidate the man with poison in order to avoid killing him publicly?
And after the ceasefire, oppression will resume, the land-grab will continue, more rewards for Israel will flow. And it will be business as usual for Western leaders and their Zionist friends.
Israeli leadership knew exactly what it was doing. Israel’s policies seemed almost calculated to increase future ‘insecurity’ for its people and the region. Will they ever learn?
Shifa Hospital in Gaza call on all people of conscience to bring pressure to bear on their governments to take concrete and decisive steps without delay, to end this slaughter and to introduce stringent mechanisms to ensure it can never again be repeated.
What if Israel won’t comply? No problem: suspend all trade and technical cooperation. The international community must finally confront the problem it has created.
Richard Falk calls on the international community to help defend the people of Gaza from the ongoing U.S.-backed Israeli assault. “It’s time, it seems to me, for the international community to take some responsibility for protecting the people of Gaza,” Falk says.
Palestinian Arabs will not give up their right to the land or to full equality; they are not simply going to go away. But they are wrong to believe that this challenge can be solved by force.
So there’ll be no lasting peace. History will just keep repeating itself and the torment for blameless citizens will continue on both sides of the Gaza border.
In Gaza and other blighted parts of the globe we see this new configuration of power. What is happening in Gaza, like what is happening to people of color in marginal communities in the United States, is the model. The techniques of control, whether carried out by the Israelis or militarized police units in our inner-city drug wars, whether employed by military special forces or mercenaries in Pakistan, Afghanistan or Iraq, are tested first and perfected on the weak and the powerless. Our callous indifference to the plight of the Palestinians, and the hundreds of millions of poor packed into urban slums in Asia or Africa, as well as our own underclass, means that the injustices visited on them will be visited on us. In failing them we fail ourselves.

Gaza: The twins Mohammad Hijazi and Suhaib Hijazi were playing their last game when they were butchered. They were found sitting on the bicycles when the rescuers found them dead under the rubble of their house.
