It’s contemptuous of fundamental human rights. It believes Jews are God’s chosen people. It thinks Arabs are subhumans. It favors eliminating them altogether. War is its instrument of choice.
Washington again was venue. A rogue’s gallery of participants attended. Warmongering speeches were featured. AIPAC does it annually. It disseminates disinformation, lies and hate.

Why are most Jews unable and/or unwilling to acknowledge the wrong done to the Palestinians? Most Jews do not want to know about Zionism’s crimes. The question is – WHY don’t they want to know?

Prominent American Jews felt no obligation to endorse Israel or Israeli leaders, no matter what happened. Dozens (including Albert Einstein) signed a letter published in the New York Times in 1948 protesting the arrival of Menachem Begin and condemning his actions. And the general American public was largely indifferent to what happened in the Middle East.

Until and unless we eradicate injustice, we have no reason to know beauty, for all that we create is tainted by that injustice pretending all is well with our world. Truth does not exist if injustice surrounds us and we are silent in our complicity. Proclaiming moral virtue in a world awash in crimes against humanity is condoning the crimes unless we act to eradicate the crimes.
If you call yourself “the Jewish State” (even though it’s really a Zionist state), and tell everybody it’s the “Jewish Homeland” and hide behind the Jewish faith, your crimes will inevitably reflect badly on ‘the Jews’, or Jewish people generally. So how is this new language rule going to work? In what circumstances, exactly, mustn’t David Ward or other Liberal Democrats use that dreaded phrase ‘the Jews’?

The lens of reality is not one used by mainstream American media, unfortunately, and so the Palestinian internment progresses largely unchecked. What’s worse is that Netanyahu will be forced, as usual, to form a coalition within the Knesset and will likely align with the ultraconservative rather than move to the center. Palestinians live without autonomy in a land that was originally theirs, ever heard this storyline before?
Polls show they favor defense and settlement construction cuts. Netanyahu prioritizes increasing them. He dismisses public sentiment out of hand. He’s favored to remain prime minister anyway. Israelis will have themselves to blame. They’ll have to explain why they voted the wrong way. They repeat the same mistakes and expect change. They’re stuck in the rut they themselves dug. Nothing post-election looks promising.

Topics covered included the diversion of weapons-grade uranium from Apollo, Pennsylvania, the U.S. government’s ongoing fight against releasing classified documents on Israeli nukes, the bankruptcy of “nuclear ambiguity.”
Hundreds of Palestinian prisoners suffer needlessly. Many are disabled. Some are paralyzed. Prison authorities don’t help. Israel is a serial abuser. Palestinians suffer most. Murder by medical neglect is policy. Gulag prison hell enforces it. Justice is systematically denied.
A lot had been written about last week’s Israeli election. Unfortunately, most of these writings lack real substance and discuss only results, political parties, personality profiles, anticipated future coalition partners, and unrealistic delusional predicted effects on peace process and on the Palestinians. All these writings gave the illusion that Israel is democratic rather than extreme racist theocratic colonial state.
This election has been a personal blow to Netanyahu, but not to the right. Netanyahu misread the public mood, but not on the central issues that should define the left-right divide in Israel: the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and decades of belligerent Israeli occupation. Far from a collapse of the right, the election demonstrated that the right is continuing to push the center of political gravity ever further rightwards.
If truth be told, it did not take “a few years” for the Jews to inflict “unbelievable levels of persecution” on the indigenous people of Mandate Palestine; the persecution began in earnest in 1939 against the British, the British Mandate Government established in 1922 by the League of Nations to maintain order and peace in Palestine. The Zionists undertook “a war against the British Mandate Government, its Police and Soldiers” while it lobbied and subverted the MP’s in Westminster with propaganda and money.
In effect, Hagel imbibed, adopted, and swallowed Israel’s laundry list of demands. NOTHING BUT ISRAEL is the concern of Jewish Americans in and out of government, the rest of the world can go to hell. Hagel lost and sold his soul, honor, dignity, self respect, courage, and principles to a powerful minority to secure a government job.
Israelis have themselves to blame. They elected Israel’s most extremist government in history. Militarism, belligerence, state-sponsored terrorism, occupation ruthlessness, settlement expansions, and neoliberal harshness reflect official policy.
Peace is a non-starter. A so-called process never existed and doesn’t now. Israel won’t tolerate it. Netanyahu scorns it. He calls it a waste of time.

this country has chosen to support the increasingly undemocratic state of Israel, the ever increasing tribalism that is pushing that state into a theocracy that denies the universalism of all human kind and imposes a set of beliefs that threaten to destroy the very concept of individual rights. America invests untold billions of dollars into this state ostensibly because it is democratic, a democratic friend in the mid-east, and it adheres to America’s core values. The ballots have been cast and counted and the Israeli election is now over. Post-election reporting and analysis have been rife with speculation and misinformation. Here is what the outcome of this election actually means and doesn’t mean.
Zionism was to be the cure for “anti-Semitism” and the savior of Jews; however it turned out to be the Jews’ greatest threat and nightmare. So much for God’s “Promised Land” to the Jews. If God himself gave Palestine to the Jews (of yester years, not those of today) wouldn’t every Jew immigrate to the Promised Land and fulfill and obey God’s command and promise?
Obviously not. The majority of Jews rejected God’s covenant and promise preferring the capitalistic success and power they have in western nations, none more so than in the Jewish compliant U.S.
In fact more Jews are leaving Israel than are entering it.
The comparison between the Bab al-Shams activists and the settlers should not be extended too far. One obvious difference is that the Palestinians were building on their own land, whereas Israel is breaking international law in allowing hundreds of thousands of settlers to move into the West Bank. By establishing Bab al-Shams, the activists visibly demonstrated the apartheid nature of Israel’s rule in the occupied territories.
Washington Post editors ignore the worst of imperial crimes. They endorse Israeli occupation harshness. Jewish rights alone matter, they believe. Settlement construction is legitimate, they suggest. It’s no obstacle to peace, they claim. Further construction won’t prevent a two-state solution. They endorse Jewish supremacy and specialness. They’re comfortable with belligerence, persecution and land theft.
Concomitant with these rumours is the Egyptian government’s and the opposition’s race to please the United States and its Zionist lobby. While the very same Issam al-Aryan spoke about the tragedy of the Jewish holocaust while in the US on a Muslim Brotherhood promotional trip in May 2011, the naïve and charisma-less Mohamed el-Baradei upped the ante by telling a German newspaper that elected Salafi and Brotherhood members of parliament should not be trusted to draft the Egyptian constitution because they allegedly deny the holocaust!
Khaled Abu Toameh is symbiotically linked to some of Israel’s and the United States’ most right-wing, anti-Arab and neo-conservative bodies. One of these is The Jerusalem Report, which comes under the corporate umbrella of the Israeli right-wing Jerusalem Post Group.
According to Wikipedia, Abu Toameh is listed as a speaker for the Hasbara Fellowships, an organization that brings students to Israel and trains them to be effective pro-Israel activists on college campuses. The Fellowship in fact brought him to more than a dozen talks at various university campuses.
The “Jewish Lobby” has such power and influence on the U.S. government; one only needs to read the main reason U.S. Senators, mostly Republicans vying for a piece of the Democrats Jewish subsidy, are opposing the nomination of Senator Chuck Hagel for Secretary of Defense.
According to a leading opponent of the nomination, Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), who appeared on CNN (Jan. 6) explaining his opposition by saying Senator Hagel “is very antagonistic to the State of Israel”.
What the Hell? Israel – Senator Hagel is nominated by President Obama for Secretary of Defense of the United States, not Israel.
The Gatekeepers: A documentary featuring interviews with all surviving former heads of Shin Bet, the Israeli security agency. All have blood on their hands. They revealed snippets of Israel’s dark history. They stopped well short of telling all. What’s most important was omitted. At the same time, they support Palestinian self-determination. They expressed disdain for Israeli opposition. They said Palestinian resistance is justified. Israeli leaders don’t address it. Confronting it violently reflects state terrorism.
Israel leaders are signalling the need for Zionism to pre-empt any possible international pressure for withdrawal by going ahead with annexation without too much further delay. If necessary, a final ethnic cleansing by military means. This would see Zionism resorting to its tried and tested way of defying international law. Effectively Israel’s leaders say to the world: “We know we should not have done this, but we’ve done it. What are you going to do about it?” On the evidence of history to date Zionism knows the answer to that question, “Nothing.”
