Like men and women, children also endure violence and abuse, notably in Occupied Palestine. Given America’s child prison population, how harshly they’re treated, and Washington’s appalling human rights record and support for Israel, only grassroots pressure might get either country to reform, but only if sustained relentlessly, a campaign well worth initiating.

Police raided its offices, revealing a political spy operation. Files about thousands of Arab Americans and hundreds left-of-center organizations were pilfered. ADL conducted spy operations, infiltrating local law enforcement agencies, bribing police officers, and securing non-public information illegally. Its penchant for spying is now exposed, if not acknowledged, yet so far it’s escaped prosecution and harsh class action suit judgments by admitting no wrongdoing, and agreeing to remove improperly obtained documents from its files.
