There may not be a magic bullet to end the Zionist domination of the American political process, but in Chuck Hagel, we got a dud. I do not regret supporting him at the beginning, but I wish he had shown more fortitude as the process degenerated — admittedly a lot to ask, but then the position to which he was nominated cries out for someone like that, which it has not had for many years. Well, perhaps next time — if there is one — it’ll be a Marine in his place.
New York politicians are threatening to cut funding to Brooklyn College if the school hosts a forum Thursday night about the BDS movement. The council members’ threat is just one of several efforts by local lawmakers, from Congress on down, to pressure Brooklyn College to remove its sponsorship or even cancel the event. The school is vowing to proceed with the event.
Mohamed Khodr: Amendment to U.S. Constitution. President Nominates Hagel, Israel Lobby Gives “Advise and Consent”, Not U.S. Senate
In effect, Hagel imbibed, adopted, and swallowed Israel’s laundry list of demands. NOTHING BUT ISRAEL is the concern of Jewish Americans in and out of government, the rest of the world can go to hell. Hagel lost and sold his soul, honor, dignity, self respect, courage, and principles to a powerful minority to secure a government job.
Khaled Abu Toameh is symbiotically linked to some of Israel’s and the United States’ most right-wing, anti-Arab and neo-conservative bodies. One of these is The Jerusalem Report, which comes under the corporate umbrella of the Israeli right-wing Jerusalem Post Group.
According to Wikipedia, Abu Toameh is listed as a speaker for the Hasbara Fellowships, an organization that brings students to Israel and trains them to be effective pro-Israel activists on college campuses. The Fellowship in fact brought him to more than a dozen talks at various university campuses.
The “Jewish Lobby” has such power and influence on the U.S. government; one only needs to read the main reason U.S. Senators, mostly Republicans vying for a piece of the Democrats Jewish subsidy, are opposing the nomination of Senator Chuck Hagel for Secretary of Defense.
According to a leading opponent of the nomination, Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), who appeared on CNN (Jan. 6) explaining his opposition by saying Senator Hagel “is very antagonistic to the State of Israel”.
What the Hell? Israel – Senator Hagel is nominated by President Obama for Secretary of Defense of the United States, not Israel.
Mr. President, it is shocking, bewildering, incredulous, and tragically disappointing that American citizens should have to resort to a petition asking you to serve America’s national interest by nominating the incredibly qualified Senator Chuck Hagel for Secretary of Defense and, for once, stand up to Israel and its Jewish cabal and lobbies, such as AIPAC, ADL, and the American Jewish Committee, who are smearing and assaulting an honorable American to pressure you to withdraw him from consideration as has been reported in Israel.
Discussing the potential new Defense Secretary, Chuck Hagel, and the highly-celebrated pro-torture film, “Zero Dark Thirty,” on MSNBC’s “Up with Chris Hayes.”
President Obama you must nominate Senator Chuck Hagel or forever be known as the President who surrendered our sovereignty and independence to a state whose belligerent policies against a defenseless people, the Palestinians, are condemned by the entire world.
Not nominating Senator Hagel will only further embolden Israel and its amen corner to further ensure that all such future decisions and nominations be first approved in Tel Aviv, not by the American people.
Human dignity for the Palestinian people is in the hands of the world in 2013. Barack Obama knows that he and his nation play an essential role in delivering that dignity to the Palestinian people. Benign neglect will not be his policy.
Agent Cameron is very careful not to let the words ‘justice’ and ‘law’ pass his lips in connection with Israel’s illegal occupation of the Holy Land.
British ministers should not in future quote figures for Palestinian rockets unless accompanied by corresponding numbers of Israel’s. These should then be cross-checked with Palestinian and independent sources for proper monitoring.
Were Obama to withdraw or credibly threaten to withdraw just a fraction of the support the United States provides, Israel would have no choice but to comply. But, of course, he will not. American political class enables Israel’s depredations. It is an in-grained habit.
American media needs new narratives that are less likely to rehash the same-old, same-old thinking that has kept U.S. Middle East policy stuck on the hamster-wheel for the past two decades or more.
America, superpower, groveling at Netanyahu’s feet. When Netanyahu decided to again murder the Palestinian women and children of Gaza, the US Senate, the US House of Representatives, the White House, and the US media all promptly declared their support for Netanyahu’s crime
Abby Martin of RT, has been covering the ‘Israel-Palestine conflict’ offers opinions that have made her and her network the target of Israeli government’s ridicule and threats.
William Hague asks Gaza to de-escalate. This “Friend of Israel” bias is blatant. Shouldn’t he be calling for Israel to end its terrorism and occupation?
Obama doesn’t have to run for re-election again but Congressional Dems do, and they’ll put the same pressure on him in 2014 that they did in 2010 if he tries to force Netanyahu to abandon his vision of “greater Israel.” The bottom line: No U.S. pressure on Israel, and thus no chance for a deal.
The question is not simply the power of the Jewish Oligarchy but is a question for all humanity. How long will the Gentile world of 7 Billion remain silent?
Maybe Israel will help out by shooting itself in the foot once too often. Pressuring Washington for favors harming US interests can’t go on forever.
The Israeli government knows that it cannot be forthright and say that it wants Americans to go to war with Iran so that Israel can steal southern Lebanon. But if fear over nonexistent nukes can muster the Western populations to support an attack on Iran, Iran can be eliminated as Hizbollah’s supplier, and Israel can steal the water from Lebanon.
There is no discussion whatsoever of the real agenda anywhere in the US print and TV media. I doubt there is any discussion anywhere in Europe, which is a collection of american puppet states.
I have often said and written that in some important respects America is the least democratic country in the world because what passes for democracy there is for sale to the highest bidders (the Zionist lobby being one of them). It’s now apparent that former President Jimmy Carter agrees. Judge Richard Posner said: “Our political system is pervasively corrupt due to our Supreme Court taking away campaign-contribution restrictions on the basis of the First Amendment.”
The Think Tank Clown: Israel Lobbyist Patrick Clawson – We Need a False Flag to Start War with Iran!
Watch Clown Clawson amble to the podium, nonchalantly glancing to his presumed peers who sit at either side of the podium awaiting his intervention and words of wisdom as they face a crisis of apparent calamity, how to force the United States to attack Iran.
Israel has admitted to previous use of false flag attacks to justify war against Middle Eastern nations. For example, Israel admits that an Israeli terrorist cell operating in Egypt planted bombs in several buildings, including U.S. diplomatic facilities.
The U.S.-Israel Enhanced Security Cooperation Act of 2012 forces Americans to fork hard-earned tax dollars over to Israel’s coffers on the pretext that it is in eminent danger. Yet declassified documents reveal that even the current prime minister once worked inside the state’s clandestine nuclear arms smuggling rings. Transferring foreign aid to the Middle East’s sole nuclear weapons state is not just unseemly and unnecessary. It is illegal.
How much of a hand does the Israel lobby really have in the US presidential campaign? Is its role overestimated? Is there danger in Netanyahu’s meddling in domestic American politics? And are American Jews monolithic in their support for US policy towards Israel?
There is speculation that, if Mr. Obama is reelected, then Prime Minister Netanyahu’s indiscreet behavior might result in “a sea change in U.S.-Israeli relations.” Unfortunately this is highly unlikely. The system of “lobbification” is solidly in place at the national political level. The standard retribution practiced by the Israel lobby against a recalcitrant American politician is to try to get him or her kicked out of office. Usually this is done in a low-key way and most Americans don’t even know it is happening. But this time the act of revenge, driven by an egocentric and bellicose Israeli Prime Minister, is being carried out in full public view.
It’s a nail-biting time for sure, but for now, I’m grateful to Netanyahu for being such a clownish bully. By overplaying his hand and stepping openly into the US political fray, he may have finally, if inadvertently, ushered in a measure of sanity in the US-Israel relationship.
I am still entertaining the hope that a second-term President Obama will put America’s own best interests first even to the extent of confronting the Zionist monster and its lobby in Congress and the mainstream media. Netanyahu is accomplishing with his ugly saber-rattling is threatening the survival of the US-Israel relationship.
It’s now clear that the Republican frontrunner in the race for the White House is Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu. Officially the two Republican frontrunners are Newt “the Palestinians are an invented people” Gingrich and Mitt “Obama has pushed Israel under a bus” Romney.
This episode reveals yet again just how pernicious is this manipulative use of “anti-Semitism” to intimidate people out of questioning U.S. policy toward Israel. Part of the problem is that most liberal writers, bloggers and pundits – especially the non-Jewish ones – are petrified of getting anywhere near the word “Israel.”
81 House members travelled to Israel, enjoyed the finest of foods & sampled wines from the colonized Golan Heights, while we suffer economic turmoil.
While the US continues to struggle with its economic issues Congress is on vacation. AIPAC pays for 81 members of Congress to relax for a week in Israel.
Having disposed of the Murdoch menace it’s time for the British public to turn the spotlight on the other villains our craven politicians pay homage to.
AIPAC, in the business of advancing Israeli government policies in the United States ever since its founder left the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1951.
