America’s modern barbarism

by Lawrence Davidson October 3, 2011

Has anyone noticed that the political air is wafting rancid lately? That is the smell of modern barbarism. Modern barbarism is a malodorous umbrella concept. Underneath the umbrella are lots of fetid phobias, isms and behaviours: Islamophobia, homophobia, xenophobia, semi-fascism, scapegoating, stereotyping, bullying, libelling and a growing, aggressive intolerance of everything and everyone who is not to the liking of the modern barbarian.

Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year): Will God forgive?

by Alan Hart October 3, 2011

Do the people who have been hurt by Jews in Zionism’s name include the Palestinians? If the answer is “No”, why not? If the answer is “Yes”, why is that most Jews can’t say sorry to the Palestinians for the terrible wrongs done to them in Zionism’s name?

Embarrassing Obama in free-fall as gangster morals kill peace process

by Stuart Littlewood September 26, 2011

What ignorance. What an embarrassment. Does anyone out there still look on Obama as leader of the Western world? His speech, so heavily larded with lies, was only surpassed by the rantings of his buddy, Israel’s prime minister, Binyamin Netanyahu, a dangerous imbecile whose finger hovers over the only nuclear button in the Middle East. Both were desperately trying to paint the the armed-to-the-teeth bully-boy as the victim.

“Obama’s performance was pathetic,” But How Does President Perry Sound To You?

by James M. Wall September 26, 2011

The alternative? Before you totally abandon Obama, ponder this, how does a President Rick Perry sound to you? This Texas “good ole boy” has already demonstrated that he is an ultra Zionist. Unlike the former Texas governor who was president for eight years, Perry is prepared to preside over what those biblical End Times believers long for, an Israeli-owned Temple Mount to provide Yahweh with a platform on which to set off the final days.

Obama’s UN speech is unjust, immoral and unprincipled

by Khalid Amayreh September 25, 2011

Obama’s excessive praise of Israel caricatured an insecure president that fears telling the truth, a leader that shakes at the very thought of uttering the “wrong words” even when these wrong words happen to represent the heart, soul and essence of the truth.

Very few films or TV programmes portray Arabs in a favourable light. Those that do need to counter the negative images reflected in the bigotry of a century in Hollywood. The road to deserved improvement of the Arab image in the west will be paved with films that portray Arabs as they really are.

Expert Reactions to Abbas & Netanyahu Speeches at UNGA (September 2011)

by SR Editor September 24, 2011

Netanyahu’s speech demonstrated precisely why Palestinians need to internationalize their cause and definitively break away from bilateral negotiations under unilateral American custodianship. Abbas poignantly described the road that the Palestinian people have traveled so far, but he missed an opportunity to chart the road ahead.

by Uri Avnery September 24, 2011

Uri Avnery compares Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas’s gamble in making a bid for Palestinian statehood at the United Nations – and thereby putting Palestine at the centre of world attention – with Barack Obama’s sheer unprincipled prostitution in the service of Israel – all for the sake of a second term as president.

Goodbye to International Law

The only thing that stands between all of us and the next holocaust is international law and treaty provisions such as universal jurisdiction. But who cares? Not the U.S. or British governments and not the Zionists.

The one-sided US veto: an astounding display of hypocrisy

by SR Editor September 21, 2011

The US has never considered using its veto power to stop Israel from carrying out unilateral moves aimed at undermining peace.

Instead, the US has frequently used its veto to prevent the condemnation of Israeli policies that breach international law. Now the Obama administration wants to use the veto again, with the moral justification that unilateralism is misguided. But the real question is: why is unilateralism bad when it attempts to advance a solution, yet warrants no response when unilateralism threatens to undermine a solution?
